If a trail bike was too much fun, then this would be it. The Scott Spark 720 Plus mountain bike has fat tyres and a full sus frame with attitude.
The heart of the Spark is an Alloy SL 6011 frame which features custom butted hydroformed tubes to keep it lightweight, but also strong, in all the key areas. A tapered headtube and internal cable routing keep things tidy, while a carbon rocker link drives the Trunnion rear shock. Boost 148x12mm spacing keeps the rear end stiff and allows for larger tyres.
Scott’s patented TwinLoc Lever system controls both the fork and rear shock. With one click, the rear travel is reduced from 120mm to 85mm and the front fork is set into platform mode to help with climbing. The second click on the lever locks out both front and rear suspension.
Fast rolling, yet offering masses of traction, the Maxxis Recon 2.8” tyres are winners on any trail, and help with the fun factor. The Fox Transfer dropper post gets the saddle out the way when the descents come calling, and the Shimano Deore disc brakes are there when you need them for speed control.
A SRAM GX 1×11 speed drivetrain has all the gears you need to tackle the mountains, both up and down, while the Fox suspension at both ends gives traction in all scenarios.
